1. What kind of fillers do you use and what is their permanence?

The fat has a structure that contains larger particles and is not very fluid. Therefore, the desired shape cannot be given to the lips with fat injection, only the lips are enlarged homogeneously, which is not an image we want very much. Although hyaluronic acid fillers have varying brands and permanence, they have an average permanence of 9 months to 1 year.

2. Are there any side effects of lip filling?

Hyaluronic acid, which is the main ingredient in fillers, is a substance that already exists in the body and a substance with proven reliability. However, the main reason for the problems experienced after lip fillers, which has been the subject of some televisions and magazines, is the application of fillers that do not contain hyaluronic acid in pure form. There are basically two side effects that can occur with this application.

The first is an allergy. In order to prevent this very rare situation, patients who have never had filling before are injected with a very small amount of fillers before the procedure and it is monitored whether any allergies will develop. The second is vascular injury and damage that may occur due to using the wrong size needle or injecting the wrong area while filling. The main reason for this second side effect is that people who have not been trained in this application and who are not specialists try to do this application.

3. I want it to be very natural, definitely not to be exaggerated. How many ml of filler is required for this?

4. Is lip filling a very painful procedure and after how many days can I return to my daily life?

Lip filling is an application performed with the local anesthetic cream and where minimal pain can be felt. Although swelling and bruising may rarely occur after filling, this is no longer seen with the intro duction of a special cannula type. An average of 3-4 days is required for the filling to settle completely and take its final shape.

5. What should I pay attention to after lip filling?

After the application, some patients may be recommended to apply ice on the first night. You should stay away from hot drinks and meals for the first 3-4 hours after the application. It is very important to drink 2-3 liters of water a day for 3 days. It is also among our recommendations not to drink alcohol and not to smoke in this 3-day period.

6. I am not satisfied with the filling. What can be done?

If hyaluronic acid filling has been made before, this filling can be completely melted with a very simple injection. Average melting time is 1-2 hours. But if your previous filling is not hyaluronic acid, then there is no other way to remove the filling by surgery. Surgery is 30-40% successful in such cases. Therefore, it is very important to choose a quality filler that is FDA approved, with known content.
