Who writes this content

Medical content is drafted by the practice's editorial team from published clinical sources, then reviewed and amended by Op. Dr. Reşit Burak Kayan, a specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, before it is published. Where a page carries a "medically reviewed by" line, that review has actually taken place.

What we base it on

We prefer, in this order: peer-reviewed literature; guidance from national bodies such as the NHS and the specialist surgical societies; and reference material from major academic medical centres. Where a page makes a specific factual claim, the source is listed at the foot of that page.

We do not cite commercial clinic websites, patient forums or content whose authorship cannot be established.

How often it is reviewed

Every medical page is reviewed at least once every twelve months, and sooner if relevant guidance changes. The review date shown on each page is the date the clinical content was last checked — not the date a typo was fixed.

What we deliberately avoid

• Claims that any result is guaranteed, permanent, perfect or scar-free.
• Comparative claims about being the best, the safest or the most experienced.
• Before-and-after photographs used as advertising. Individual results vary, and several of the jurisdictions our patients travel from restrict or prohibit this use.
• Specific recovery timings presented as if they applied to everyone. Where we give a range, it is a range.
• Pressure tactics: countdown offers, limited availability, or price-led promotion of surgery.

Use of AI tools

We use software tools, including AI-assisted drafting and research tools, in preparing and editing content. No medical page is published on the basis of an AI-generated draft alone: every clinical statement is checked against the sources cited and reviewed by the surgeon before publication. Responsibility for what appears here rests with the practice, not with any tool used to produce it.
